What to Look for in the Upcoming Season

The National Hockey League (NHL) recently released its 2024-25 schedule, and there are plenty of exciting events to look forward to on ESPN.

Here are a few of the top events to watch:

Regular Season Highlights

• October 11: Opening Night features the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche hosting the Chicago Blackhawks.
• November 24-26: The NHL Thanksgiving Showcase features three days of games, including the Boston Bruins vs. New York Rangers on Thanksgiving Day.
• December 25: The NHL Winter Classic will be held at Fenway Park in Boston, with the Bruins hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Special Events

• January 25-29: The NHL All-Star Weekend will be held in Toronto, Ontario.
• February 12-19: The NHL Stadium Series will feature two outdoor games, with the Carolina Hurricanes hosting the Washington Capitals at Carter-Finley Stadium and the Colorado Avalanche hosting the Vegas Golden Knights at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
