Top Contenders for Hiter's Commitment
Five-star 2026 running back Savion Hiter has named his top five schools, and the Tennessee Volunteers made the cut.
Hiter, who is from Orlando, Florida, is considered one of the top running back prospects in the country. He is also a standout track and field athlete, with personal bests of 10.6 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21 feet, 3 inches in the long jump.
The other schools in Hiter's top five are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
- Alabama: The Crimson Tide are the defending national champions and have a long history of success under head coach Nick Saban.
- Florida: The Gators are Hiter's home-state school and have a strong running back tradition. They are currently led by head coach Billy Napier.
- Georgia: The Bulldogs are the reigning College Football Playoff national champions and have one of the top defenses in the country. They are led by head coach Kirby Smart.
- Texas: The Longhorns are one of the most storied programs in college football and are led by head coach Steve Sarkisian.
Hiter is expected to make his college decision in the spring of 2023.
