Residents of Larimer County Urged to Leave Homes

A wildfire burning in northern Colorado has prompted mandatory evacuations for residents of several communities in Larimer County. The fire, which started on Saturday, has already burned thousands of acres and is threatening homes and businesses.

Evacuations in Effect

The following communities are under mandatory evacuation orders:

  • Drake
  • Beaver Meadows Resort
  • Crystal Mountain
  • The Retreat

Residents in these areas are urged to leave immediately and follow the instructions of local officials.

Firefighting Efforts
